Libwee is a Tumbuka word for “rock or stone.” and
symbolize wisdom, strength, stability,
patience and time.
As the global community is battling climate change, Malawi continues to experience inconsistent
rainfall, flooding, droughts that leads to food insecurity, threats to infrastructure and slow
progress towards socio-economic development. On a day to day basis, communities especially in
Malawi, face challenges with waste management due to limited infrastructure, low awareness and
limited human capital.
Libwee Limited is an emerging agrotourism and eco-building enterprise owned and operated by Wangiwe Joanna Kambuzi and Daniel Mvalo. Libwee was established with the aim to foster transformative
sustainable community development through agroecology,
eco-tourism and sustainable building in Malawi and Southern Africa. At Libwee, we co-create environmentally sustainable solutions through organic farm produce-diversified vegetables, fruits and livestock;
eco-inclusive accommodation and farm tours; eco-building products including cladding stones and eco-bricks.
This business plan will serve as a guide for Libwee as we penetrate the market and develop the enterprise. Key business strategies include: inception of crop and livestock production, establishment of a market for our vegetables, fruits and chicken layers, and eco-building materials including cladding stones and eco-bricks
