Libwee is a Tumbuka word for “rock or stone.” and symbolize wisdom, strength, stability, patience and time. As the global community is battling climate change, Malawi continues to experience inconsistent rainfall, flooding, droughts that leads to food insecurity, threats to infrastructure and slow progress towards socio-economic development. On a day to day basis, communities especially in Malawi, face challenges with waste management due to limited infrastructure, low awareness and limited human capital. At Libwee, we provide environmental sustainable solutions through climate smart farming including organic crop and livestock production, eco-inclusive accommodation spaces and farm tours, and eco-building products including cladding stones and eco-bricks.
